Long Beach Halloween party mass shooting leaves three dead with gunman on run

A mass shooting at a Halloween party has left three men dead and nine people injured as police hunt at least one gunman who is on the run.

There were distressing and chaotic scenes as firefighters treated the victims in front of a house where up to 20 shots were fired. Aerial footage showed three bodies in the garden following the bloodbath in Long Beach, California.

The other nine victims were taken to hospital as the Los Angeles suburb's emergency services declared a mass-casualty incident.

Neighbours told local media that the house was hosting a Halloween party when shots rang out at around 10.45pm local time on Tuesday.
