JAMB 2019 Result: 5 alternative ways to gain admission despite poor UTME Score

Over the weekend, the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) was released with many candidates scoring low, thus risking low admission opportunities.
Well, we have five alternative ways for you to get admission into the higher institution even despite your low score.
National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)
The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is one of the options you have if your score was low in 2019 JAMB UTME results. As a matter of fact, you don’t even need to sit for JAMB exam to gain admission into the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
ANother advantage is that there is no strike action with NOUN but the disadavantage is that its students do not go for the National Youth Service (NYSC).
This is the school’s site here: http://nouedu.net/ so you can choose the courses available and locate the closest study centre to you.

Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB)
The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) is a course, an Advanced-Level (A-Level) one, that lasts for 9 months, after which you take a final exam which gives you a certificate.
With the IJMB certificate, you can apply for Direct entry admission into 200 level in any university of your choice.
Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB)
It means Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) and is like IJMB with successful candidates able to use their certificates to apply for direct entry admission into 200 level in any university they deem fit.
Diploma programmes in Universities
Although not all schools have Diploma programmes, it normally lasts for 2 years with the certificate qualifying you for application into 200 level in that university or any
university.
Pre-degree/Remedial Programmes
Although not all schools have Pre-degree/Remedial/Foundation Programmes, this programmme is always mapped out to support candidates who do not meet certain requirements for admission.
Once completed, the programme which lasts for 7-12 months, gives the successful candidates admission into relevant undergraduate degree courses in the school they did the programme.
